So for several weeks, I've been working with Shawn Jantzen of j2 studios as he put together a photography project dealing with the Seven Deadly Sins. My part of course was videoing the shoots and putting together behind the secene/teaser videos for each of the projects.

4th Pixel will document while 10 Artitsts will produce 10 gallery quality painted works by a process which a the artist does a "live performance," painting with their bodies, turning themselves into a temporary aspect of the permanent gallery piece, and also allowing video and still image documentation of the art creation process.
I feel that art is a collaborative process. For a two dimensional artist, it is a collaboration between the artist and the audience, to create a communication between the artist's worldview and that of the viewer. For a photographer, or videographer like me, it is a wider collaboration between real life subject or model, and the work that comes from that collaboration, and the audience.
In the modern media rich world, the ability to merge traditional art, the performance of the creative process that gave birth to that art, the documentation and story behind that art, and even the reaction of the world to that work is possible in a nearly simultaneous way. A greater statement can be produced by presenting all of this depth than by simply presenting the traditional work.
Our goal is to expand the world and concept of "art," and could possibly have impact the cultural dialogue about art, the creative process itself.
Currently in planning stages.
